Love and Faith Bible College

The formulation of Love and Faith Christian Fellowship
Bible College, in affiliation with Teamwork Bible College, began in the summer of 2002. Its development
was kindled by the vision of our Pastor, Michael Thomas. It is a direct reflection
of Love and Faith’s vision statement; “To equip the children of God to know His
voice, identify and perfect their spiritual gifts, and to utilize those gifts
to develop others to further the kingdom of God locally, nationally,
and internationally” and Love and Faith's mission statement; “To effectively develop spiritual
leaders by exemplifying the love and faith of God through teaching His Word
and Christian fellowship.”
Elder Phillip and Carrie Price were given the task,
as Dean and Administrator, respectively, of structuring
the college staff and administration. Offices were
filled, facilitators chosen as we embarked on our journey.
The first semester (fall 2002), everyone took Spiritual
Fundamentals. We were excited about the college and the study
material. The first group of students adopted the name “Eagles”.
We had about seventy-five students and facilitators. Each
semester thereafter, we added classes so as to accommodate those who were pursuing their one-year
certificate. On December 19, 2004, we had our first graduation ceremony for the “one-year”
certificate program. Eighteen students received their certificates. The majority of
the graduates were a part of our initial class, the “Eagles.”
We have seen spiritual and personal growth in our
students. The Bible College is continuing to seek ways
to better serve our congregation and community. We believe the Bible College is a very
important weapon in the fight against ignorance and an
aid to effective Christian living. God-inspired, Dr. Chacha
established Teamwork Bible College International. The Holy
Spirit led Pastor Thomas and Dr. Chacha’s paths to meet on
purpose for His purpose. Our goal is to continue to equip the
children of God, develop spiritual leaders, and teach God’s
Word.
Erika Hendrix became the next Dean of the Bible College from 2008 until 2011, prior to that she was an administrator.
In 2009-2010, the Bible College headed up a Project to Tanzania. This project included getting medical supplies, office supplies, clothing and other needs to the
Medical Center in Tanzania. Thanks to the hard work of many volunteers like the Love and Faith ushers, the project was completed in January of 2010. A cargo container was filled and bound by ocean voyage to Tanzania.
In 2011, Wanda Heggie was named to succeed Erika Hendrix as the new dean.
